Shorewood tomorrow night
If you haven’t been to Shorewood yet this year, check it out tomorrow night. Last weekend for OW checkouts we had 15′ – 20′ of viz. It was dramatically different than Monona Terrace last week.
Exploration in the mooring field at John C. McKenna park can be fun. A pot bellied stove, huge truck radiator, and other heavy stuff has been used to anchor the mooring buoys in the past. Pepe is also there.
Usually we find some nice fish – bluegill, bass, perch all are around. Go slow and see if you can get close to them.
Hopefully with the storms this weekend, things are still good. A storm around here doesn’t mean the viz will be bad. There seems to be no rhyme or reason so you just need to go out to see yourself.
Gear is available at the shop (open at 5 tomorrow) Tuesday. If you are there at 5 you can make it to the dive site by 6.
Stick is the dive pro in charge. Sign up here.See you tomorrow.
