Rescue Diver
Ready to be confident and prepared

Do you pack early for your vacation, make lists to be ready, call ahead and confirm details? If yes, then being prepared and being ready as a rescue Diver is for you. That or your just really organized. The main part of this course is to learn to look beyond yourself and to consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence. Here are some of the many skills you will learn:

  • Self-Rescue and Diver StressPADI Rescue diver
  • Emergency Management and Equipment
  • Swimming and Non-Swimming Assists
  • Panicked Diver Response
  • Underwater Problem Solving
  • Surfacing the Unconscious Diver
What do I need to start?
  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
  • Minimum age: 15 years old (12 for PADI Junior Rescue Diver)
  • Completion of a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months
  • 20 logged dives

How long does it take?
The course incorporates independent study to prepare you for classroom and hands-on skill development sessions with your instructor. We break the course into the following sections:
  • Classroom: Two 2 hour sessions
  • Pool training: One 3 hour pool session
  • Open water: Two 1 hour sessions

How much does it cost and what will I need?
The course cost is $285.00, which includes the necessary books, Certification card, 5 minute DCI exam card, first aid resource list, rescue materials and gear. The Emergency First Responder (EFR- CPR/first aid) course, if you have not completed a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months, is $100.00.
