Scuba Skills Update

How long has it been since you were last in the water? Six months? A year? More than this? Unfortunately, diving is not one of those things that just comes back to you, like riding a bike. Dive vacations cost money. Do you really want to gamble the cost of accommodations, air fare and diving (not to mention your safety and enjoyment) against your ability to remember and do everything you should? Or worse yet, showing up for your first day of vacation diving only to have the shop tell you that you have to do a Scuba Review before you can dive. This usually costs much more in paradise than in Wisconsin. You can buy cheap insurance in the form of a few hours of refresher training. Here is how it works:

  • You start by reviewing basic concepts with an instructor.
  • Following this, you jump in the pool for an hour or two to review fundamental skills with your instructor. When you are done, you’ll be safer and more confident.

This course is open to divers

  • At least 10 years old.
  • Certified Open Water Diver.
  • Able to either answer “No” to all questions on the Medical History Form or secure a physician’s approval prior to the start of class.
