Float effortlessly, drifting over reefs. Be the diver you want to be, with ultimate buoyancy control, able to hover close to the bottom and examine underwater organisms without touching them. Buoyancy skills separate the good divers from the great divers.

In the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course, you will learn to how to precisely weight yourself for optimum control, poise and balance. You learn to ascend and descend so effortlessly, it seems like you only think about it and it happens. By mastering streamlining, you move through the water cleanly, efficiently and gracefully. You swim near fragile environments without harm to them or yourself.


This course is open to certified divers

  • At least 10 years old.
  • Certified Open Water Diver.
  • Able to either answer “No” to all questions on the standard Medical History form or secure a physician’s approval prior to the start of class.

Where and when is this course offered

We conduct this class during our scheduled pool sessions at Sun Prairie High School pool. Your options are Saturday 4:30pm until 7:00pm or Sunday 8:30am until 10:30am.  We also are able to offer a similar experience in our new in house training pool during normal business hours. How much does it cost

The cost for the Peak Pool Program is $85.00. This includes complete scuba gear rental. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit, towel, logbook and certification card to class with you. If you have your own gear bring that to learn in as well.

If you want full PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty certification, the price is $135.00. Also required for the PADI Specialty certification are two open water dives. These can be conducted on an individual basis, could be on a Tuesday Night Adventure dive or will appear as a separate class on the calendar.
