What is Bonne Terre Mine?
A former mine that is now a billion gallon lake with 500,000 watts of overhead lighting.
What is the diving like?
The water is a constant 58 °F with >100 feet of visibility year-round. Dives are generally to a depth of 40-60 ft.
How much does it cost?
$70 per dive (two dive minimum) plus about $50 per night for double occupancy hotel accommodations. The group is planning to do three dives on Saturday and two dives on Sunday.
What do I need to bring?
Your c-card , log book and gear. Gear rental is available from Madison Scuba.
How do we get there?
It is a seven hour drive. There will be a carpool leaving Friday morning around 9am from the Dutch Mill Park N Ride near the intersection of Hwy 12-18 and S. Stoughton Road. Please let us know if you prefer to be a driver or a passenger.
