Join us on a “Dive to the Center of the Earth” at Bonne Terre Mine

Travel with us to Bonne Terre, MO for a unique diving experience.  See calcium falls, abandoned mine equipment and the famed elevator shaft.  The Billion Gallon Lake is illuminated with over 500,000 watts of lighting offering a total of 24 dive trails.  The lake temperature is a constant 58° and air temperature underground is 62° year ‘round.  The dives are led by specially trained dive guides to offer you a safe diving experience.

Participants are required to bring BC, regulator, mask, wetsuit/drysuit, boots, fins, hoods, gloves & weights. Bonne Terre Mine provides tanks.  Nitrox 32 is offered for an additional $10 per dive and 92 cu. ft. tanks are offered for an additional $8 per dive (must be paid for one week in advance).

Required “C” card:  minimum of Open Water certification. Log book is required to validate your dives in the Mine.  Minimum age 12 (if under 18, parental permission required).

We are offering 2 options this year:

Option #1 – 3 Dives – Saturday 9 am, 1 pm, 4 pm

Option #2 – 4 Dives – Saturday 9 am, 1 pm, 4 pm and Sunday 9 am

We will car pool down to Bonne Terre starting Friday 8 am and returning on Sunday, time depending on which option you choose.

• Call 1-888-843-3483 to pay your fee – tell them you are a part of the Madison Scuba group.
• Call the Super 8 Motel in Bonne Terre 1-573-358-5888 to make your reservation.  Rates range from $60-70.

If you joined us on this trip last year, you will be diving trails 5, 6 & 7/8.  If you are new to Bonne Terre Mine, you will be diving trails 1, 2 & 3/4.
