Assistant Instructor

Are You Ready to lead

Become a leading instructor with some of the world’s best divers.  After successfully completing assistant instructor training, you'll work closely with our Instructors to expand your diving skills & knowledge to the professional level.  As a PADI assistant instructor you can also now;

  • Teach academic presentations under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor
  • Evaluate Open Water Diver surface skills under indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor Assistant instructor PADI
  • Teach the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course

The PADI Assistant Instructor class offered here so that you may begin any time. Just come in, sign-up, and we'll get you started!  How quickly you complete the course depends upon you - we allow you to work at your own pace.

What do I need to start?

  1. PADI divemaster
  2. PADI Medical release
  3. Minimum age: 18 years old
  4. Completion of a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months
  5. 60 logged dives, including night, deep, and navigation dives
  6. Have been a certified diver for at least 6 months

How much does it cost and what will I need?
The course cost is $799.00 which includes the tuition fee, experience in instructing with Open Water Classes, 5 minute DCI checklist, rescue resource book, PADI Pro Carrying Bag and a team pro shirt and the following PADI materials;

  3. Open Water Lesson Planning Slate
  4. Confined Water Lesson Preparation Slate
  5. Open Water Aquatic Cue Cards

You will also have access to instructor supplies. Our instructors tuition also covers teaching about fill station operations, cylinder handling, equipment troubleshooting and repair, fitting scuba gear, dive shop retail and also get to participate in staff only training and seminars. We expect our instructors to have their own gear, if you don’t have professional gear yet we can help with that as well.
